The Youth and Women's Empowerment Project (YWEP) is a response to the need to address the fragility that threatens Tanzania's development. This project identified the main drivers of fragility which are inequalities between men and women, and youth unemployment and poverty, the lack of technical and commercial skills and weak institutions and poor governance

The project aims to ensure economic empowerment for economically vulnerable young people and women through the development of technical and commercial skills and the promotion of business creation in the agribusiness and other entrepreneurship activities. The overall development objective of the project is to contribute to improving the livelihoods of youths and women through the cow project and chicken project.

The direct beneficiaries of the project are 200 women and unemployed youth from five wards which are Usa, River, Nkoaranga, Imbaseni, Maji ya Chai and Kikatiti. The total cost for this project is 6,000 USD
